David W. Rowan is the Chief Legal Officer, Chief Governance Officer and Secretary at Cleveland Clinic. In these roles he is responsible for all legal matters of Cleveland Clinic and its health system. He also serves on the Cleveland Clinic Board of Governors.
Previously, David was a partner with the law firm of Squire, Sanders and Dempsey, LLP.
David received his JD magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC.
David is a frequent speaker on health law and governance topics and has served on many not-for-profit boards. He is currently a Life Director of The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio, which is committed to social justice.
